A Regular Iowan, Fighting for You

I'm Kris Williams, and I'm a proud Iowan, a husband, a father, and a retail worker at Target right here in District 8. My life isn't spent in a politician's office; it's on the sales floor, talking with my coworkers and our neighbors about the things that really matter: the rising costs of groceries, the worry about making rent, and the hope that we can build a good life here in Iowa for our families.

I'm not a career politician. I've never run for office before. I'm stepping up now because the people who are supposed to be looking out for us have failed.

The "Why"?

I see the system is rigged. I see our tax dollars going to handouts for massive corporations and funding war crimes overseas, including genocide in Gaza. This happens while our communities are left with crumbling roads, underfunded schools, and families who struggle to get ahead, no matter how hard they work.

I'm running because we deserve better. We deserve a government that fights for people who make this state run: the workers, the educators, the family farmers, and the small business owners.

The "Fight"?

My campaign is built on one simple idea: our tax dollars should make our material lives better, right here at home. That means fighting for affordable healthcare, fully funded education, and an economy where hard work is actually rewarded.

This is a grassroots campaign. We're powered by people, not corporate PAC money. I'm not asking for your vote; I want to earn it. I'm asking for the chance to go to Des Moines and be a voice for the people who have been left behind.

Our actions now will shape the world our children will inherit tomorrow.
