PRESS RELEASE
Weekly Update 9/21
43 days out - park events, SALT Center, and postcard shoutout
What we did
Good Morning! 6 weeks until the election. Last week we had a couple of park events and met some new supporters.
The Pride Cookout at Snell Park was great, getting to meet many of the folks behind the scenes of Pridefest and hear about their biggest concerns. Shockingly, much of it was affordability and being sick of the status quo politics.
Kris toured the Shining A Light Together (S.A.L.T.) Center, a resource hub for people experiencing homelessness. They are a warming and cooling shelter and help with:
ID
Health Insurance / Medicaid
Food Stamps / SNAP
Job Applications
Housing Mail Address
Phone use
Medical Transportation
Doctor Appointments
Clothes
Other needs
Location - First Baptist Church - 28 N 10th St, Fort Dodge

Volunteer Call!
43 days until Election Day! The team has been knocking doors, making calls, and we need you! In 2018, this election was decided by 340 votes. We made a new way to help you join us for volunteering - check out this form.
Shoutout to Webster Democrat Volunteers for helping us send out over 150 postcards last week - Julie, Jill, Dave, Deb, and others I didn’t get to see.
Fundraising Push
We’ll be honest, campaigns are expensive, which is why normal people like us get locked out. From $5 to $500, our grassroots team is people-powered, and any bit helps.
Door knocking helps get our message out and show people a different way of doing politics. We’re fighting to take our message to every door, but some people live in apartments or aren’t home when we come by.
$600 covers Every Door Direct Mail to 1,000 doors. Every dollar helps us reach the votes we need to win.
